In Beyond Gotham, the Caped Crusader teams up with other members of the Justice League to stop the villainous Brainiac.
- The plot: Brainiac uses the power of the Lantern Rings to shrink planets, and he plans to add Earth to his twisted collection. To stop him, the Justice League must journey to different Lantern Worlds to collect the rings themselves.
- A new setting: The game expands beyond the typical Gotham City setting, with players visiting iconic locations like the Hall of Justice, the Batcave, the Justice League Watchtower, and the various Lantern planets.
- Signature gameplay: The core gameplay involves fighting enemies, solving puzzles, and collecting LEGO studs, much like other LEGO games. Players can upgrade suits and abilities using a gadget wheel.
- Co-op and Free Play: The game features a two-player cooperative mode. Once a level is completed, it can be replayed in "Free Play" mode with any unlocked characters to discover hidden secrets.
